Newcastle / Strongbow

Newcastle: In 1927, Colonel Jim Porter was the first brewer to combine two seemingly incompatible malts: English pale and dark caramel. The risk paid off in 1928 as Newcastle Brown Ale won the International Brewery Awards. The gold medals from these awards are still featured on the label. Newcastle Brown Ale is golden brown in color with a rich, full-bodied flavor, Newcastle is a dark beer like no other. It is best served at 38˚F to retain its smoothness and slight caramel sweetness. Strongbow: Strongbow is the #1 Global Cider Brand and the #2 U.S. Cider Brand. The flavors include: Gold Apple, Cherry Blossom, Orange Blossom and Honey. In the fall of 2017 the U.S. will welcome Strongbow Artisanal Blend. Strongbow Gold Apple is sweet and golden with a crisp kick, a hint of green apple and a long bittersweet finish. Cherry Blossom has an aroma and fruity notes, a subtle sweetness and a ripe apple finish. Orange Blossom has a spring-like fresh orange blossom aroma with a touch of sweetness and a juicy apple finish. Honey‘s flavor is sweet on the tongue with a refreshing, fruity finish.
