Executive Chef, William F. Harrah College of Hospitality

Chef Mark Sandoval serves as Executive Chef of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas’ William F. Harrah College of Hospitality, where he applies more than 20 years of experience in the food industry toward advancing the education and careers of students.

Celebrated for his strict work ethic and love of cooking, Chef Sandoval joined the academic world in 2012, working as an adjunct professor for the UNLVino class, a credited course in which students plan and execute the annual food, wine, and spirits festival that serves as a scholarship fundraiser for the College of Hospitality. Inspired by the confidence that students gain when they prepare their own food, Chef Sandoval joined the university full time in 2016.

Chef Sandoval has previously served as Executive Chef of Wolfgang Puck’s famed Postrio at The Venetian, and as Sous Chef Saucier of Joël Robuchon’s French eatery inside MGM Grand. He has also served as Executive Chef for the M Resort’s Jayde Fuzion and Anthony’s Gourmet Burgers and Brews.

A native of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Chef Sandoval developed a passion for cooking as a child and later attended the University of Colorado in Boulder.
