Honoree Spotlight: Steve Martorano

Honoree Spotlight: Steve Martorano

From a humble upbringing, Steve Martorano grew up in South Philly and had big aspirations for himself. He started in the restaurant industry in the 70’s when he opened a small delivery sandwich shop out of his apartment. The business grew and he soon opened his first sit down restaurant a few years later. In 1993 Steve moved to Ft. Lauderdale and opened Café Martorano, which became a huge success. Flash-forward over 20 years later and Steve Martorano has become a worldwide known brand with the success of his restaurants, pasta sauces, books and apparel line. He is now known as the “Godfather of American-Italian cooking” and has truly raised the bar in the culinary industry. Guests can check out Martorano’s Italian Restaurant inside both the Rio and Paris in Las Vegas. We are so excited to honor Steve Martorano this year at UNLVino’s Grand Tasting for all his accomplishments. Be sure grab your tickets at unlvino.com to see us present Steve with the Dom Pérignon Award of Excellence on April 18.
